Sofia Music Enterprises was founded in June 1991. by Dimitar Kovachev - Funky and Ivan Nestorov - Amebata. For 20 years Sofia Music Enterprises has organized over 400 concerts of world-class performers in all musical genres. The concerts of SME are visited by over 2 million viewers.
Besides organizing major international concerts, SME always supported the Bulgarian artists and is creator of the first rock clubs in the country.

In early 1995 Sofia Music Enterprises created the first in Sofia club with live music - Funky's Pub. From there began the career of most modern Bulgarian bands and artists such as BTR, D2, Mary Boys Band and others.
In February 1998 Sofia Music Enterprises opens new doors to more and more attractive club - Mr. Punch, and in August 2004 - Funky's Musichall in the building of NDK, Sofia.
The three clubs are visited by guests like Milcho Leviev, Big Joe Louis & His Blues Kings, Nyers, Rick Dellaratta, Tambu, Franck Amsallem, Quartet Saskia Laroo Band, Charlelie, Jazz Breakers, Muddy Shoes, Mike & The Blue Spirits and many others.
